Photocarve is a product by:
Exclusive Furniture Maker, Anthony Hartley
Designer & Brand Consultant, Naomi Atkinson
Anthony works from Damside Mill in the Pennine village of Haworth, in the UK – where your Photocarve is created.
Anthony started designing furniture from a young age. On leaving school in the early 80's – when Art College wasn't an option – he became a joiner.
In more recent years, Anthony studied Furniture Design at Leeds College of Art, and launched his first bespoke furniture collection at London Design Festival 2011.
His attention to detail and immaculate designs are achieved through his years of experience of joinery and creating furniture by hand – understanding the technology and science of his materials and pushing to the limit the stress of woods, ply and plastics. Hand finishing and the closest attention to detail means that each piece looks amazing and performs perfectly.
Anthony's work has been featured in numerous design and interior magazines, and he has been commissioned by many, such as the London Underground. His skill, and finite attention to detail keep Anthony driven to consistently provide a high-end, quality product, that will be idolised by your friends.
Naomi works from the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, in the UK – on the brand, marketing, and sales of Photocarve.
Naomi's main passion has always been Design. Her career kicked off after completing a BA Hons in Multimedia design back in 2004.
She gained her experience through lead roles at three leading London-based, Web, Advertising, and Brand agencies, before starting her own design business in 2010.
As well as continually running her design studio, Naomi founded Whosit & Whatsit – a two storey retail outlet designed specifically to support Independent designers and small businesses. Open to the public from 2014-2016, Naomi sold many a Photocarve from the store, which is where she fell in love with the product.
Both Naomi's design work, and her own home interiors, have been featured in many international publications. With her eye for stark, simple design – she is passionate about delivering a truly unique product, and is keen to push the boundaries of what more Photocarve can offer.
